Available in direct thermal and thermal transfer models, Solus printers deliver labels at 3 IPS and can produce bar coded labels, tags, and receipts in seconds. Nonvolatile flash RAM permits storage of preimaged labels, user fonts, and graphics for instant recall and printing. The unique Solus design features a light weight, stylish, and compact clamshell case that suits any environment. The new case accepts larger label rolls for less frequent media loading, and the clamshell case and flip-up printhead make loading easy and fast.

Replaceable printhead and platen Solus printers are designed for minimum maintenance and easy servicing. Almost anyone can change their printhead and platen in seconds. No tools are needed, and printhead or platen replacement does not necessitate any printer adjustment. The printer does not even have to be removed from its operating position.

Like all other Cognitive printers, Solus printers support all popular bar code symbologies, including high density PDF417 and MaxiCode. They can also directly print PCX and BMP graphics. A unique "true dot history" algorithm assures reliable codes and crisp graphics in any application and at any speed or rotation.
